Hatsune Miku x NISSIN YAKISOBA U.F.O. Collaboration Video Premieres September 19

A new collaboration video between virtual singer Hatsune Miku and cup yakisoba brand NISSIN YAKISOBA U.F.O. is premiering on YouTube on September 19, 2026 (Saturday) at 7:00 PM. The video is titled 『VOCALOID6 はちゅねミクに「Ievan Polkka(NISSIN YAKISOBA U.F.O.50周年 Remix)」を歌わせてみた』, and it's a full-length version of a 39-second anniversary clip that surpassed 15 million cumulative views across social media after its release on May 21, 2026 (Thursday) — the exact day NISSIN YAKISOBA U.F.O. marked its 50th anniversary since launch. Through the collaborative work of multiple creators, the new cut brings an even richer, "extra-thick" sauce beam blasting from Hachune Miku (はちゅねミク).

Ahead of the premiere, Crypton Future Media also announced the results of an illustration and song contest held as part of the Hatsune Miku x NISSIN YAKISOBA U.F.O. collaboration. The contest drew a range of humorous entries, now viewable on the collaboration's special site. A DJ mix video featuring the winning entries is also in production, to be released at a later date.

About Hatsune Miku

Hatsune Miku is a singing voice synthesis software planned and developed by Crypton Future Media, Inc. in 2007, letting anyone create a song simply by entering lyrics and a melody. The character on the package is known for her blue-green twin tails. As music made with the software spread across the internet, it sparked a chain of creative work — illustration, song, and dance — that grew into a cultural phenomenon.

Today, Miku is also active in many fields as a "virtual singer." In Japan, the Hatsune Miku "Magical Mirai" event series — which pairs live concerts with an exhibition on the joy of creating — has drawn more than 670,000 attendees cumulatively since 2013, with 2027 editions planned for Osaka, Tokyo, and Hiroshima. Overseas, Miku's "HATSUNE MIKU EXPO" world tour series has performed 139 shows across 55 cities to date; its 2026 North American leg has already wrapped, with a European tour set for November. Beyond dedicated events, Miku continues to appear in a wide range of related content in Japan and abroad, including collaborations with traditional performing arts and well-known artists.

Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and KAITO are also virtual singers developed by Crypton Future Media, Inc.

About NISSIN YAKISOBA U.F.O.

NISSIN YAKISOBA U.F.O. is known for its distinctive, extra-rich ("ぶっ濃い") sauce flavor. Since its release in 1976, it has built a loyal following across a wide range of customers and holds the No. 1 spot in sales in the cup yakisoba and abura soba category, making this year its 50th anniversary as a long-running brand. The brand has a history of bold, ahead-of-its-time commercials and promotions. Last year's 「NISSIN YAKISOBA U.F.O.ぶっ濃い湯切りくじキャンペーン」 (a lottery campaign built around the "yukiri" hot-water-draining step used to prepare the noodles) drew attention with its unique entry method and an eye-catching prize: a "ソースエクスプレス" (Sauce Express) experience letting winners enjoy U.F.O. aboard a Shinkansen car.
