HobbyLink Japan (Headquarters: Sano, Tochigi Prefecture; President: Satoshi Deguchi) has opened its first physical store in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. HobbyQuest opened its doors on July 25, 2026.
Drawing on the expertise built up as a hobby-specialty online shop, the company created the store to give customers a new way to connect with the brand, and to offer a place where they can pick items up in person and experience the fun of hobbies directly.
Built around a treasure-hunt concept, the store offers in-store-only products, events, and a digital gacha vending machine—experiences that are only possible at a physical location.
A Store Built Around a Treasure-Hunt Concept
HobbyQuest is a hobby shop designed around the concept of a treasure hunt.
Carrying a wide range of hobby products, including plastic models, figures, and character merchandise, the store aims to create a space where customers can enjoy unexpected encounters with products and the fun of browsing the shop itself.
Beyond letting customers see and feel the texture and appeal of products in a way an online shop cannot fully convey, the store offers in-store-exclusive items and shop-only promotions for a hobby experience unique to a physical location.

In-Store-Only Fun
HobbyQuest offers in-store-exclusive products, campaigns, and events to bring out enjoyment that is only possible at a physical store.
In addition to the in-store-only PG UNLEASHED Nu Gundam Complete Set, the store runs the Fortune Quest, in which the discount rate on selected products is decided by a dice roll, and the Treasure Wagon, which sells items with minor flaws at special prices, turning the shopping itself into part of the fun. An SNS posting campaign featuring HLJ's original Godzilla figure is also underway, giving visitors a hobby experience unique to the physical store.
Digital Gacha Vending Machines
HobbyQuest has installed digital gacha vending machines at the storefront.
The machines currently offer CAPCOM-licensed products, with the lineup set to change according to the season and upcoming promotions. Visitors can enjoy the machines alongside their shopping whenever they stop by.
