A collaboration between the candy toy Hone Hone Saurus and the worldwide hit film series Jurassic World will go on sale in limited quantities nationwide in Japan on Tuesday, November 17, 2026. The new product is called Hone Hone Saurus Jurassic World.
Hone Hone Saurus is an original long-selling candy toy brand from Kabaya Foods Corporation, now in its 25th year since launch. Each product pairs a plastic model kit, with a bone-and-dinosaur motif, with a piece of chewing gum. The parts of every kit use a common joint, so kits from all Hone Hone Saurus series and their included special parts can be freely rearranged and combined to build an original saurus. This endless variety of ways to play stimulates children's creativity, and the brand is widely popular, mainly among elementary school students.
The collaboration is with the Jurassic World film series, a worldwide hit that began in 1993 as Jurassic Park. Hone Hone Saurus Jurassic World is a special edition that realistically recreates dinosaurs from the films, including the series-original dinosaurs Indominus Rex and Indoraptor, as well as Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex), Spinosaurus, and Aquilops. It brings together the powerful world of the Jurassic World series and the build-it-yourself fun of Hone Hone Saurus.
Collecting the special parts included with each type and combining them completes Distortus Rex (D-Rex), the mutant dinosaur from the latest film, Jurassic World Rebirth, released in 2025.
Kabaya Foods says it plans to keep expanding the world of the Hone Hone Saurus brand and to nurture children's imagination and creativity.
