Hotel Metropolitan Marunouchi, located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is currently renovating a room to create a new Train View Room — the "-UTSUROI- Premium Corner King (Max 4 Guests)" — the hotel's first room designed to sleep up to four guests. The room is expected to open in spring 2026.
Background: A Room for the Whole Family
The new room was developed in response to longstanding guest feedback, including requests such as "We want the whole family to enjoy the train view together" and "We'd like to stay in one room for three or more people." With the growing number of overseas family travelers and multi-generational groups visiting Tokyo, the room aims to accommodate a wider range of guests without splitting up.

The room is a corner suite with windows on two sides facing Tokyo Station, featuring a king-size bed. By pulling out the sofa bed and fold-out trundle bed, the room can accommodate up to 4 guests.
The two-sided windows offer panoramic views of Tokyo Station, including the iconic red-brick station building, the station plaza, the Marunouchi district, and the Tokaido Shinkansen as it passes through toward Shinagawa.
The bathroom includes a window and a rain shower.

Room Renovation Concept: -UTSUROI-
Hotel Metropolitan Marunouchi has been undergoing a full guest room renovation since 2024. Floors 33 and 34 have already been completed, and floors 31 and 32 are currently under renovation, with an expected opening in spring 2026.
Renovated rooms carry the name [-UTSUROI-] and feature soft color tones inspired by traditional Japanese colors, with a comfortable and functional furniture layout. The concept story [-UTSUROI-] centers on the theme "Sharing Precious Moments of Change":
