Hotel New Grand (Yamashita-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama) is presenting a lunch series called "Journey Through French Tables," offering course meals that focus on the food culture of eastern France over four months.
Part 1: "A Burgundy Table"
The first installment runs from June 1 (Monday) to July 31 (Friday), 2026, and draws on the culinary traditions of Burgundy — a region celebrated for its red wine heritage. The menu is designed with an early-summer lightness, pairing classic Burgundian flavors with a refreshing seasonal touch.
The course opens with Jambon Persillé in "Le Normandie" style — a terrine that layers the savory depth of ham with the bright, herbal note of parsley.

The soup course features a tomato gazpacho served with Dijon mustard cream, balancing refreshing coolness with a rich, tangy finish.

For the main dish, guests can choose Coq au Vin — chicken leg slowly braised in red wine — alongside roasted chicken breast, a quintessential Burgundian preparation that showcases the region's wine-driven cooking.

The course concludes with Pain d'épices — a traditional spiced cake fragrant with orange and warming spices — served with a cheese cream.

Venue: Panoramic Restaurant Le Normandie
The restaurant is located on the 5th floor of the Tower Building at Hotel New Grand. Designed with the concept of a luxury ocean liner, the dining room offers an elegant atmosphere surrounded by blue skies and the sea view of Yokohama Port.
