Hotel New Otani Makuhari is launching "Day Pool & Stay," a summer-limited accommodation plan that includes admission to the hotel's outdoor pool Shell Pool. The plan goes on sale from Saturday, July 18, 2026, with reservations opening on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM.

With rising prices and transportation costs—alongside concerns about extreme summer heat—Shell Pool at Hotel New Otani Makuhari offers a refreshing alternative. Located just about 30 minutes from central Tokyo, the outdoor pool is surrounded by palm trees swaying in the sea breeze, creating an open and airy atmosphere reminiscent of an overseas resort without the long journey.
Updated to All-Day Operation – Enjoy the Pool for Up to 16 Hours
The "Day Pool & Stay" plan grants access to Shell Pool during the entire stay. In previous years, the pool operated in two separate sessions per day. Starting in 2026, the pool will run continuously from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Guests can head to the pool from 9:00 AM on their arrival day after completing check-in, and continue using the pool after checkout on the departure day until 5:00 PM—making it possible to enjoy up to 16 hours of pool time in total across both days. There's no need to watch the clock; guests can relax entirely at their own pace.
Restaurant Discount Vouchers and an Exceptional Breakfast
As a new benefit for plan guests, one 10% discount voucher for lunch or dinner at select hotel restaurants will be provided per person per night.
