Hotel New Otani Makuhari is adding an indoor luxury pool seat called Hale Lani to its seasonal outdoor pool "Shell Pool" this summer. Running from July 18 to September 22, 2026, this marks the first indoor premium seat offering in the New Otani group.
With summer temperatures arriving earlier than usual — including several summer-like days recorded during this year's Golden Week — poolside relaxation is increasingly popular. At the same time, concerns about intense UV rays and heat-related illness are also growing. Hale Lani is designed to offer both the openness of an outdoor pool and the comfort of a hotel, all in one space.
The name "Hale Lani" comes from Hawaiian, meaning "heavenly home." The space is set within Shell House, a cottage-style banquet venue by the poolside, transformed for the summer season into a private, resort-inspired retreat.

1. Full Air Conditioning — A Private Oasis Away from the Heat
Located right next to the pool, Hale Lani steps inside to a cool, air-conditioned environment. Guests can escape the heat and UV rays while enjoying views of the pool and resort scenery through large windows.

Soft drinks are included in the base price as a free-flow offering. For those who opt for the alcohol plan, all drinks — including chilled champagne — are available on free flow, along with a snack plate.
3. Everything Included — Rental Amenities for a Hassle-Free Pool Day
The seat price includes a bath robe, indoor slippers, and a pool float rental. There's no need to bring anything extra for a premium pool experience.

- Weekdays: ¥13,000 / NOC members ¥11,000
- Weekends, public holidays, and Aug 10–14: ¥15,000 / NOC members ¥13,000
- Night Pool: ¥8,000 (flat rate)
- Children (ages 4 to elementary school): ¥5,000 (flat rate)
- Alcohol plan: add ¥5,000 to the above rates
The base price includes: indoor deck chair, soft drink free-flow, bath robe, indoor slippers, and pool float rental. The alcohol plan additionally includes a snack plate and free-flow drinks including champagne.
Pool entry fee is separate. Children aged 3 and under are free when seated with an adult.
