"Nui-katsu" refers to the hobby of bringing a favorite stuffed animal along in everyday life, dressing it up and taking photos with it. In recent years, "nui-dori" — bringing a stuffed animal to a cafe or travel destination and photographing it against beautiful scenery or delicious food — has become especially popular on social media.
This summer, Hotel New Otani Makuhari introduces a new plan for enjoying a luxurious hotel stay together with a favorite "oshi-nui." The hotel extends its signature hospitality to the stuffed animal as well, treating it as a cherished companion.
Three Plan-Exclusive Perks for Nui-katsu
Perk 1: A Mini Bed Just for Your Stuffed Animal, So You Can Share the Same Dreams at Night
Each room comes with a mini bed just for your favorite stuffed animal. Tuck it into the plush, hotel-logo bedding right next to your own bed, and maybe you'll even share the same dream. Enjoy a luxurious, lavish night together. (Stuffed-animal bed size: approximately 250 mm long x 140 mm wide x 120 mm high)
Perk 2: Matching Eye Masks So You Can Coordinate Even After You're Home
Guests receive a matching eye mask set in one color of their choice from red, blue, yellow, green, or pink — one for the guest and one for the stuffed animal, in two different sizes — so the matching look can continue not only during the stay but also back home after checking out.
