This special event is designed to express gratitude to the pandas that have been beloved at Ueno Zoo for many years and departed in January 2026. During the event period, the lobby and guest rooms will be decorated with panda motifs, along with special perks featuring the hotel's iconic "cherry-blossom pink panda" and various activities for both guests and visitors.

Hotel Resol Ueno features the artwork "Panda" by artists Masaru Ishikawa and Keita Shimizu in the art gallery "Resol Gallery Ueno" located within the living lobby, which serves as the hotel's icon to welcome guests. Additionally, during the hotel's 5th-anniversary celebration, the property was decorated throughout with "cherry-blossom pink pandas," reinforcing the hotel's special connection with these beloved animals.
When panda viewing ended in January 2026, many guests returned to the hotel in tears, expressing their sadness at the farewell. In response to these feelings of "panda loss" and to create a space for expressing gratitude to the pandas that symbolize Ueno, the hotel is holding this limited-time special event featuring extensive panda decorations in the lobby and concept rooms.

① Panda Room (Limited to 1 Room Per Day)
One of the popular "Concept Room ART×ZOO" rooms will be transformed into a limited-edition "Panda Room" for this event period. The entire room is filled with pandas, including a 100cm (approximately 39 inches) panda plush, side tables that double as chairs, tissue covers, mugs, shower curtains, small storage containers, and towels—everything is panda-themed.
Guests staying in this room will receive a special "cherry-blossom pink panda" design room key that can be kept as a keychain after checkout. Additionally, the panda towels provided in the room are also available for guests to take home.
② Panda Lobby
During the event period, a giant 160cm (approximately 63 inches) panda will welcome guests in the lobby. The space is decorated with panda cushions, figurines, and panda-colored decorations, allowing visitors to relax and take photos surrounded by numerous pandas.
③ Photo Spots (Available to Non-guests)
During the event period, photo spots will be available including the giant panda plush in the lobby and the specially decorated "Panda" artwork in "Resol Gallery Ueno," which is dressed up like a mail carrier. The Resol Gallery Ueno is open to the public, so not only hotel guests but anyone can enjoy these photo opportunities. Additionally, mirrors inside the elevators will feature panda decorations, allowing guests to take photos as if they've become pandas themselves. (Elevators are for hotel guests only.)
