Huis Ten Bosch, the theme park resort in Nagasaki Prefecture, will close out 2026 with its year-end event "Grand Finale Night - Music & Fireworks Countdown -". This year the event runs for six days, longer and larger than before. Artist live shows and an entertainment show that recreates the emotion of the movies will bring the year to a close.

Special Live Shows
On certain days during the event, notable artists will perform special live shows. The songs range from classics loved across generations to current hits. They will be performed on a one-night-only stage with the townscape, fireworks and lighting effects as the backdrop.
Saturday, December 26: Yoko Takahashi
Yoko Takahashi made her major debut as a solo singer in 1991 with "P.S. I miss you" and won the Japan Record Awards New Artist Award and the Yusen Taisho New Artist Award.
Her best-known works are "A Cruel Angel's Thesis," the theme song of Neon Genesis Evangelion in 1995, and "Soul's Refrain," the theme song of the film Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth, released in 1997. Both continue to sell today. Her cumulative sales total about 1.75 million copies, with 7 million downloads and 700 million streams.
In addition to many media appearances in Japan, she is active both in Japan and overseas, including live performances around the world.

Sunday, December 27: Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku
Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku, known as "Ebichu," is an eight-member female idol group from Stardust Promotion. Its activity concept is "forever middle school students."
The group formed on August 4, 2009, and made its major debut on May 5, 2012, with "Kari Keiyaku no Cinderella." The following December, it held its first solo arena concert at Saitama Super Arena, setting a record as the fastest since debut among Japanese artists.
On March 20, 2025, the group held a concert at Saitama Super Arena for the first time in about 10 years. It will hold one-man live shows at Tokyo Garden Theater on February 6 and 7, 2027.

Monday, December 28: Wednesday Campanella
Wednesday Campanella is a music unit formed in 2013. In 2021, Utaha joined as the second lead vocalist, starting a new lineup. After the music video for "Edison" (released in February 2022) was unveiled, it became a hot topic mainly on social media and passed 71 million views (as of March 2026), and cumulative streams surpassed 100 million. In March 2024, the unit held "METEO SHOWER," its first solo concert at Nippon Budokan with the new lineup.
In July 2026, it released "Ichigo Got it (feat. ピーナッツくん)," featuring the rapper and VTuber ピーナッツくん. In August, it held its hall one-man live shows "SUMMER PARTY 2026" in Osaka and Tokyo.

Spectacle Entertainment With 2026 Film Music (Coming Soon)
Hit films in 2026 captivated audiences around the world. The songs from their soundtracks, which drew attention along with the films, will be performed against the backdrop of Huis Ten Bosch's townscape, together with special fireworks and lighting effects. The spectacle entertainment show is designed to be immersive enough to bring back the emotion of the movies.
Fireworks and Lighting Effects
The fireworks launched right in front of the audience fill the field of view with deep bass that resonates through the body. Searchlights sweeping across the night sky dress up the whole venue in colored lights. The special effects change from moment to moment in sync with the live music and film songs.
New Year's Eve Countdown Fireworks
On December 31, the final day of the event, 5,000 fireworks will fill the night sky at once. This is one of the largest numbers of fireworks for a countdown event in Japan (Note 1). This year, songs that swept Japan in 2026 and moved many people will be combined with the fireworks and lighting effects, and the show continues until the last moment before the new year.
The "Special Viewing Seats," offered every year, give a prime view of the scale and power of the show. They go on sale at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 16, 2026. For details, see the New Year's Eve event page.
Open Until 2:00 AM on New Year's Eve, With Up to 16 Hours of Play
On Thursday, December 31 only, Huis Ten Bosch stays open until 2:00 AM on Friday, January 1, 2027. After welcoming 2027 with the countdown fireworks, guests can continue to enjoy attractions, shopping and dining.
Right after the new year begins, guests can take the first ride of the year on popular ride attractions, making for up to 16 hours of play on New Year's Eve. The "Countdown Passport," a 1-day passport that lets guests play through the turn of the year, is described by the park as the best-value passport of the year.
