Christmas Advent, a winter tradition in Fukuoka, and Huis Ten Bosch, a theme park resort in Nagasaki Prefecture, are joining forces for the first time. Titled "Kyushu Twin Stars Christmas" (subtitle: "Make a Wish on the Stars, Cheer On Kyushu" / 星に願いを、九州にエールを。), the collaboration was announced at a Christmas Advent press conference held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
Christmas Advent (planned and operated by Mr.Weihnachtsmann Co., Ltd., with 佐伯岳大 as general producer) is built around the concept of a "Christmas to enjoy with all five senses," offering fantastical experiences woven from light, music, and art. In 2025, a cumulative total of 3 million people visited its Fukuoka and Tokyo venues, and it is one of Kyushu's leading Christmas events.
The collaboration includes limited-edition mugs designed with Miffy and Huis Ten Bosch's Grand Chandelier Tree (グランド・シャンデリアツリー), Christmas Advent's popular items on sale at Huis Ten Bosch, and an upgraded projection mapping show. Symbol trees and donation boxes to support the areas affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake (令和8年熊本地震) will also be set up at both venues.
Press Conference
The press conference in Fukuoka City was attended by Christmas Advent general producer 佐伯岳大, Huis Ten Bosch Representative Director, President, Executive Officer and CEO 髙村耕太郎, and Huis Ten Bosch's Miffy, who presented the overview and details of the collaboration.
Takamura (髙村) said, "We want to liven up the Christmas event season from within Kyushu, and together create an environment where people from Japan and around the world come to visit Kyushu."
Christmas Advent's Popular Items Arrive at Huis Ten Bosch
Limited-Edition Mugs with Huis Ten Bosch Designs
The mugs that are a perennial favorite at Christmas Advent will be available in three Huis Ten Bosch-exclusive designs.
At the Huis Ten Bosch Christmas Market, the original mugs feature Miffy wearing a hat, the same look as in the Miffy Christmas show, and the Grand Chandelier Tree (グランド・シャンデリアツリー). According to a July 2026 web survey by Huis Ten Bosch, it is the only free-standing Christmas tree in Japan modeled on a chandelier.
At the Christmas Advent Tenjin venue, a mug featuring Miffy in a scarf and wooden clogs, a familiar look at Huis Ten Bosch, will also be available.
After enjoying a warm drink from these collaboration-only mugs, visitors can take the mug home as a keepsake. By bringing it to the Huis Ten Bosch Christmas Market or any Christmas Advent venue, they can also enjoy a drink at the refill price.

Christmas Advent's Candle Holders on Sale at Huis Ten Bosch
The candle holders that are popular at Christmas Advent, made with traditional German clay craft, will be sold at the Huis Ten Bosch Christmas Market. Wintry scenes and other designs appear to float in the candlelight. Visitors can choose their favorite design, which also makes a good souvenir for someone special.

Huis Ten Bosch Projection Mapping Upgraded Through the Collaboration
The Christmas version of the 3D projection mapping show that Huis Ten Bosch presents each season will be upgraded for a limited time through the collaboration with Christmas Advent. It is a mapping show that can only be seen now, set in a brilliantly lit Christmas space. The photo below shows a past 3D projection mapping performance.

"Twin Stars Christmas AID": Lighting Up Kumamoto with Glittering Symbol Trees
In hopes of supporting the recovery of the areas affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake (令和8年熊本地震), a symbol tree with a shared monument will be set up at each of the Christmas Advent and Huis Ten Bosch venues. Donation boxes will also be placed nearby, and the money collected will be donated to Kumamoto Prefecture.

This ticket is a set that combines a round-trip JR ticket with a Huis Ten Bosch 1-Day Passport exchange voucher. It also comes with a discount coupon that takes ¥200 off a mug at the Christmas Advent Hakata and Tenjin venues and at the Huis Ten Bosch Christmas Market stalls.
- Price: From Fukuoka City, ¥12,000 instead of the regular adult fare of ¥17,100. Special fares from Nagasaki City are also available.
- Period: For departures through January 11 (Mon), 2027. The mug discount coupon is valid through December 25 (Fri).
SNS Photo Contest: Share Your Christmas Memories
Under the title "Kyushu Twin Stars Christmas SNS Photo Contest," a social media campaign will be held in which photos taken at either venue and posted on Instagram with the hashtags #クリスマスアドベント #ハウステンボス are eligible. Outstanding entries will win Christmas presents from Christmas Advent and Huis Ten Bosch.
