Huis Ten Bosch Names New Scenic Coaster "PANORAMA RUSH," Set to Open in Spring 2027

Huis Ten Bosch, the theme park resort in Nagasaki Prefecture, has decided on the name and opening timing of its new scenic coaster. The attraction will be called "PANORAMA RUSH" and is scheduled to open in spring 2027.

The coaster is part of the park's 35th anniversary projects under the theme "35th BIG BANG!!!" It is the fourth installment of the park's growth strategy and the largest investment since the park opened. The name reflects the idea of riders plunging into panoramic views that stretch from the park's European streetscape to Omura Bay and feeling the exhilaration of the ride throughout their whole body.

Three Highlights of PANORAMA RUSH

  1. Japan's first (Note 1) coaster to plunge into grand views of both town and nature
  2. Boost acceleration that feels like being launched, with a linear launch that is the first in Western Japan (Note 2)
  3. Views that change between day and night, running through illuminations that have ranked No. 1 in Japan for 13 consecutive years (Note 3)

1. Japan's First (Note 1) Coaster Through Grand Views of Town and Nature

PANORAMA RUSH runs through two kinds of scenery. One is the "town scenery" created by the European streetscape, with its seasonal flowers and canals. The other is the "natural scenery" of lush trees, wide mountains, and Omura Bay beyond them. Set against the beautiful streets and nature that Huis Ten Bosch has long cared for, riders feel the wind and speed as they race along.

At the top of the climb, the coaster offers the best panoramic view in the park, taking in everything from the European cityscape to the sparkle of Omura Bay. The course of about 1 km has been designed precisely so that riders can enjoy the scenery from its most beautiful angles.

2. Boost Acceleration with Western Japan's First (Note 2) Linear Launch

The coaster is equipped with a linear launch, a first in Western Japan (Note 2), which accelerates the train powerfully in an instant. Riders are sent up to the summit at a height of about 30 m in one go, as if flying into the sky. They then travel at a maximum speed of 75 km/h with no windows or walls in the way, feeling the wind and a sense of floating as the scenery keeps changing around them.

3. Views That Change Between Day and Night, Through Illuminations Ranked No. 1 in Japan for 13 Consecutive Years (Note 3)

PANORAMA RUSH

In the daytime, the European streetscape spreads out before riders' eyes. After sunset, it turns into a "scenery of light" with the illuminations that have ranked No. 1 in Japan for 13 consecutive years (Note 3). Below the track lie the European streets wrapped in countless lights, the Domtoren tower that stands out as the park's symbol, the nightly entertainment, and a scene of fireworks. Plunging into this view is an experience unique to the night.

Unlike looking up at the illuminations from the ground, riders see the city full of light from above and run through its glow, as if becoming one with the light.

With the arrival of the scenic coaster PANORAMA RUSH, even more experiences are scheduled to appear one after another toward the park's 35th anniversary. Further details about the attraction will be announced ahead of the spring 2027 opening.
