A new crane game specialty store is coming to Nara Prefecture: Hunters Nara Yamatokoriyama, operated by Mines Co., Ltd. It marks the brand's first location in Nara Prefecture.
Nearly 350 Crane Games Draw Big Crowds at the Pre-Open
Ahead of the grand opening, a pre-open event was held on Friday, August 7. A line of customers had already formed before the doors opened, and the store saw a lively turnout from day one.
The spacious interior houses approximately 350 crane game machines — one of the largest lineups in the region — stocked with a wide variety of prizes including popular character goods, snacks, figures, and everyday items. Visitors could be seen making repeated attempts to win their favorite prizes, with cheers and applause breaking out across the store whenever someone succeeded. Customers of all ages, from children to adults, were seen enjoying themselves throughout the store.
A New Nara Photo Spot? The 3.6-Meter "Twin Towers"
Just inside the entrance stands the store's giant crane game, the Monster Catcher. Two 3.6-meter-tall machines stand side by side, giving the impression of a pair of "Nara twin towers." Many visitors stopped to take a look on opening day.
The prizes available from the Monster Catcher are extra-large, making for an eye-catching challenge to try in person.
A Free Kids' Play Area and 10-Yen Crane Games
The store's large, free kids' corner, Asobi no Hiroba (Play Plaza), is divided into two zones — one for preschoolers ages 0 to 5, and another for elementary schoolers ages 6 to 12 — so children can play safely at an age-appropriate level. During the pre-open, kids were seen having fun on the large inflatable play equipment while parents watched over them nearby, and the area proved especially popular with families.
The "10-Yen Catcher" corner, where visitors can try crane games starting from just 10 yen, was also busy with customers. Many young children tried a crane game for the first time here, breaking into smiles when they won a prize, with families enjoying repeated attempts together.
