A summer limited menu is coming to IKEA stores throughout Japan from June 4 to August 31, 2026. The lineup includes new additions alongside returning favorites, designed to keep appetites going even during the hottest months of the year.
One of the new highlights is Chicken Leg with Special Ginger Sauce — IKEA's popular chicken confit topped with a generous amount of a specially made ginger sauce full of sliced onions. The sauce offers a pleasant texture and familiar flavor that pairs well with rice, making it a satisfying option even when summer heat tends to dampen the appetite.
Also making its debut is Salsa & Chips, combining a fresh tomato and cucumber salsa with tortilla chips. The mild kick of spice adds a summery touch and works just as well as a snack or light side dish.
Returning from last year are the Yangnyeom Cheese Sauce options. Salmon Fillet with Yangnyeom Cheese Sauce features rich salmon enhanced by a savory-spicy cheese sauce that goes perfectly with rice, while Plant Ball with Yangnyeom Cheese Sauce offers a plant-based alternative coated in the same bold yangnyeom-meets-cheese combination.
Rounding out the seasonal menu are Organic Tomato Soup, packed with the deep flavor of tomatoes, and Salsa Dog, a hot dog topped with the same spicy salsa for a summery twist on a classic.
