JAF Oita Branch (Branch Manager: Jin Hashimoto) will hold "JAF Day: Oita Marine Palace Aquarium 'Umitamago' Behind-the-Scenes Tour" on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Oita Marine Palace Aquarium "Umitamago" (hereinafter "Umitamago") located in Oita City, Oita Prefecture.
JAF Day is a participatory event for JAF members nationwide, aimed at promoting friendship and interaction among JAF members.
At this event, participants will be able to hear stories from fish keepers while watching monitors in Umitamago's backyard. This tour will explore the upper area of the large circulation tank where 1,500 fish of 90 species swim. While Umitamago's backyard tours are typically offered only for groups, they are also available for general visitors during limited periods. For this event, anyone in elementary school or above can participate as long as there is at least one JAF member in the group.
