Kamogawa Sea World in Kamogawa, Chiba will begin selling "Orca & Smile," a winter-only combination ticket that pairs aquarium admission with entry to Tokyo German Village, from October 31 (Saturday), 2026. Tokyo German Village offers one of the largest experience-based illumination displays in the Kanto region.

The ticket makes it possible to enjoy a winter day on the Boso Peninsula from daytime to nighttime: marvel at powerful orcas at Kamogawa Sea World during the day, then get lost in a magical world of light at Tokyo German Village at night.
By day, head to Kamogawa Sea World, the only place in the Kanto region where visitors can see orcas.* Performances by orcas, beluga whales and other animals, along with a range of exhibition tanks, let visitors feel the appeal of the animals directly, in a way that does not come across through a screen.
At night, the destination is Tokyo German Village, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The theme of this year's Winter Illumination is "Why USA!? - 超Smile! ドイツ村、アメリカへ -" (roughly, "Super Smile! German Village Goes to America"). Despite the German Village name, exciting American culture is expressed dynamically with 5 million lights and sound, the kind of approach that might make you ask, "Wait, isn't the concept supposed to be German?"
Combining two of Chiba Prefecture's leading attractions, the ticket offers a way to make winter memories full of surprise and smiles.
*About "the only place in the Kanto region": This is based on the operator's own survey conducted in October 2026. The survey looked at orca keeping and exhibition history at major aquariums and marine exhibition facilities across Japan, including facilities that are members of the Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums (JAZA), using the operator's own web research and publicly available information.
