Outdoor Brand KEEN Teams Up With Mountain Hotel LUCY Oze Hatomachi for a Hiking-Beginner Weekend on September 11-12

LUCY Oze Hatomachi by Hoshino Resorts, a mountain hotel run by Hoshino Resorts, is teaming up with outdoor footwear brand KEEN for a special one-night, two-day event, "LUCY x KEEN Outdoor Weekend," running Friday, September 11 through Saturday, September 12, 2026.

The event grew out of a shared wish from both brands: to let even hiking beginners experience the comfort of spending time in nature and the enjoyment of a hike. The program includes shoe fitting and rental from KEEN staff, a Leave No Trace (LNT) workshop on enjoying the outdoors while being mindful of nature, a mini acoustic live performance by Miyuu — a traveling singer-songwriter and goodwill ambassador for Katashina Village, home to Oze — and a guided hike through Oze led by a specialist nature guide, giving guests the chance to fully take in Oze's natural surroundings over the two-day stay.

Background

LUCY, the mountain hotel brand from Hoshino Resorts, is built around the concept of a "heart-stirring mountain hotel," aiming to ease common concerns about staying in the mountains, such as comfort, and to broaden the appeal of mountain tourism. KEEN, meanwhile, promotes its "Consciously Created" approach to reducing its environmental footprint, working to help everyone enjoy the outdoors while protecting nature.

This collaboration brings together both brands' strengths and vision, proposing a new way for those new to the outdoors, and for younger generations, to spend a weekend: enjoying Oze and hiking comfortably while wearing KEEN gear.

Program: Fittings, a Workshop, a Live Performance, and a Guided Hike

KEEN shoe rental

Guests can get fitted for and rent KEEN hiking shoes from KEEN staff on-site.

Leave No Trace workshop

An optional Leave No Trace workshop teaches ways to enjoy the outdoors while minimizing impact on nature; participants receive a portable trash bag called "POY."

Miyuu's live performance

In the evening, Miyuu, the traveling singer-songwriter and Katashina Village goodwill ambassador, gives a talk and a mini acoustic live performance.

Oze hiking

The stay includes a guided hike through Oze with a specialist nature guide, with a choice between a beginner-friendly Ozegahara course and a more demanding Mount Shibutsu course.

Gifts for Participants

Everyone who joins the program receives outdoor items to take home: one pair of KEEN x LUCY collaboration socks per person, a "POY" portable trash bag for those who join the Leave No Trace workshop, a thermal bottle with a KEEN original label, and two types of stickers featuring the KEEN and LUCY Oze Hatomachi logos.
