Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho is hosting Kioi Rose Week 2026 from May 15 (Friday) to June 14 (Sunday), 2026, bringing a full month of floral experiences to the Kioicho neighborhood of central Tokyo.
This year, flower artist Nicolai Bergmann has designed the key visual for the event and is collaborating on a flower installation in front of Akasaka Prince Classic House, a live demonstration, a signing session, and a hands-on workshop. The theme, "BEYOND THE ROSE. — Roses Blooming in Kioicho," explores the energy of roses and the wider world of experiences that radiate from them.

Flower Installation "Flower Flow in Rose Garden"
From May 28 (Thursday) to June 14 (Sunday), Nicolai Bergmann's flower installation will be on view at the Water Plaza on the 4th floor of Kioi Terrace. Set within a rose garden backdrop, the work layers roses with seasonal Japanese flowers and natural vitality to evoke wind, light, and the flow of time. "Nicolai Bergmann Fukuyama Rose" Makes Its Tokyo Debut
A new rose variety called "Nicolai Bergmann Fukuyama Rose" was born in 2018 through a collaboration between Nicolai Bergmann — who serves as a PR ambassador for Fukuyama City in Hiroshima Prefecture — and the city itself. Rare and limited in production, this large-flowered variety blooms in a refined, soft lavender hue and carries a clear, distinctive fragrance. It will be displayed in the flower beds in front of Akasaka Prince Classic House, together with the "World Rose Convention Fukuyama 2025 Commemorative Rose" — marking its first showing in Tokyo.
