The Kobe Luminarie has been held as an event to pass on the memory of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake to future generations and to symbolize the hope of the city and its citizens. The main venues are the Former Foreign Settlement, Higashi Yuenchi Park, and Meriken Park. With highlights spread from Higashi Yuenchi Park to Meriken Park, visitors can enjoy the majestic light art installation of Kobe Luminarie while exploring Kobe's cityscape.
