Kokura Factory Railway Land (小倉工場鉄道ランド), located at the Kokura General Vehicle Center in Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City, is a popular destination for railway fans of all ages — but it can only be entered through specially organized tours. Two special tour options are available for April 25, 2026 (Saturday), both operating as day trips.

Factory Tour, In-Car Announcement Experience, Uniform Fitting, and More
The facility offers a range of hands-on activity menus. Highlights include a factory tour, an in-car announcement experience, and a uniform fitting experience.
In the in-car announcement experience, participants use an actual KiHa 40 series train car and are assisted by active crew members as they practice making announcements.
1-Coin (¥500) Technical Experience Activities
A wiring work activity is available for ¥500, where participants use a screwdriver to connect wiring correctly and light up a lamp. Additional technical experience menus are also on offer.
Lunch at the Active Employee Cafeteria "Tsubame Shokudo"
Lunch is served at "Tsubame Shokudo," an employee cafeteria that is still in active use. Adults receive a set of curry and udon, while children receive a set of mini udon and onigiri.

Tour 1: Special Tour Departing from Hakata Station, Aboard the "Express Kawasemi Yamasemi"

Highlight: The tour train travels directly into the Kokura General Vehicle Center, allowing participants to enter the facility while still aboard the train — offering a view from the windows that cannot normally be seen. The train is scheduled to be the "Express Kawasemi Yamasemi" (subject to change depending on operational conditions).
