Kokura Factory Railway Land (Kokura General Vehicle Center, Kokura Kita-ku, Kitakyushu) is a facility that can only be visited through special tours. The tour features a range of hands-on experiences popular with both adults and children.
The in-car announcement experience uses an actual Kiha 40 series vehicle, with active crew members on hand to assist with the broadcast.
Visitors can also try on railway staff uniforms.
Hands-On Technical Experiences for ¥500
The "Wiring Work Experience" lets participants use a screwdriver to correctly connect wiring and light up a lamp. Additional technical experience menus are also available.
Lunch at the Employee Cafeteria "Tsubame Shokudo"
Lunch is served at the on-site employee cafeteria "Tsubame Shokudo," with a curry and udon set for adults (children receive a mini udon and onigiri set).

Highlight: The tour uses a dedicated special train that travels directly into Kokura Factory Railway Land, entering the Kokura General Vehicle Center without leaving the train – giving passengers exciting views from the window even before arrival.
The tour is scheduled to operate with the Series 813 electric train. Subject to change based on operating conditions.
