A pop-up store for "Sake Gacha" (酒ガチャ), a popular service from the online sake shop KURAND (クランド), will be held for a limited time from Friday, October 16 to Thursday, October 29, 2026. It takes place at the Shinjuku Station East Exit Concourse on B1 of LUMINE EST Shinjuku in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
Try "Sake Gacha" at the Pop-Up Store

In the photo, the placards on the Japanese sake machine and on the fruit wine, plum wine, and liqueur machine show ¥2,500 (tax included).
The pop-up store lets visitors try Sake Gacha, which has been a hit on social media, in person. The service is normally available only online, but here it is played on real capsule toy machines. The category of sake you can win depends on which gacha machine you spin.
The lineup of possible prizes includes rare sake that is not sold to the general public, such as the 17-year-aged sake "悠峰 17年," priced at ¥19,800 per bottle (tax included). Every spin is a winner: each prize is guaranteed to have a list price higher than the cost of the gacha, so anyone can play with confidence. It is a chance to discover a new sake you would never pick for yourself.

What Is "Sake Gacha"?

Sake Gacha is built around the idea that "not knowing what you'll get is what makes it fun, and what leads to a new encounter with sake." KURAND delivers a randomly chosen sake from more than 500 kinds, including Japanese sake, plum wine, fruit wine, liqueur, shochu, wine, and premium sour bases. Launched in 2019, it became a hot topic mainly on social media, sparked by demand for drinking at home during the pandemic.
