Kurashiki City is holding "The Charm of Kurashiki ∞ – A Journey to Experience Kurashiki's Handicrafts –" on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at KITTE Osaka, 2F Event Space B. The event is designed to let visitors feel the appeal of Kurashiki and lead them on to visit the city. Kojima jeans, tatami edging, igusa (rush grass), Sanada cord and famous local confections all come together in one place, and visitors can get a taste of a trip to Kurashiki through confection tastings and handicraft workshops. Admission is free and no advance registration is required.
Experiences at the Event
1. Kojima Jeans Exhibition and Photo Spot
Jeans from Kojima are on display. Visitors who post on social media in a travel mood receive a small Kurashiki gift.
2. Traveling Jeans Street mini
Visitors can learn about the history of Kurashiki's textile industry and about jeans, while viewing and buying jeans and accessories from various companies based in Kojima.
3. Tatami Edging, Igusa and Sanada Cord Marché
The marché features coasters and tableware made with igusa, one of Kurashiki's representative specialties, along with a wide variety of tatami edging. Sanada cord, said to be the origin of Kojima's textile industry, also appears.
4. Kurashiki Famous Confection Buffet
Visitors can choose one of each flavor of the famous confection 美味すずめ, including seasonal limited flavors, and buy them. Tastings of 美味すずめ made in Kurashiki the day before are also available.

5. Kurashiki Town Walking Style Quiz
A quiz helps visitors find the Kurashiki trip that suits them best. After the quiz, they receive an original small gift from a capsule toy machine.
6. Kurashiki Handicraft Workshops
Workshops open to both adults and children are free to join and end as soon as the materials run out. Three projects are offered:
