Adventure World in Shirahama, Wakayama is teaming up with Takasho Digitec Co., Ltd. (Kainan, Wakayama) and the FeStA LuCe Executive Committee to hold a new nighttime experiential event, "LIGHT PARKS in Adventure World spotlighted by FeStA LuCe," for the first time at the park's Fureai Plaza.
The event's biggest highlight is the special space it creates by lighting up the very area where real animals live and breathe, fusing the atmosphere of the night with the magic of light. Takasho Digitec, known nationwide for its moving light-art event "FeStA LuCe," joins forces with Adventure World, a park built around the idea of looking closely at life and continuing to ask questions about it, a place to discover the beauty of life. Together, their vision lets FeStA LuCe's lights spotlight the animals and the power of nature after dark, bringing out their charm more vividly than anywhere else. Giant, life-size animal light sculptures and beautiful arches of light color the stage with a fantastical atmosphere, as the real animals encountered only at night cross paths with gradients of light, creating a space found nowhere else: "IllumiNature," a blend of illumination and nature. The event also includes sensory activities such as an animal footprint quiz, plus rides on the illuminated Ferris wheel and carousel.

1. [Experience] An Overwhelming World Created by Giant, Light-Art Animal Sculptures
The biggest highlight is the sculptural beauty and lighting technology brought by Takasho Digitec, a professional in light-based spatial production. A giant magical arch standing over 5 meters tall, a glowing moose and giraffe, a hovering hummingbird, and the legendary unicorn that symbolizes the event's world: overwhelming, large-scale animal light sculptures appear throughout the night plaza. A continuous run of fantastical, social-media-worthy photo spots draws visitors into a non-everyday world from the moment they step inside.

2. [Observation] Real Animals Meet Gradients of Light in a New Chapter for FeStA LuCe
One of Adventure World's unique charms is the chance to observe real animals conveying the breath of night within the area's lighting production. In the nighttime light, the natural presence of Cape penguins, hippos, and capybaras blends with the colorful lighting that shapes the space, creating a feeling found nowhere else.
Which animals are on display varies by day. Hippo feeding sessions are planned on weekends, holidays, and during busy periods.

3. [Participation] Interactive Missions Testing Animal Behavior and the Wonders of Light
Visitors can follow glowing footprints on the ground to explore, or solve answers hidden around the area on their own. The event is filled with interactive elements that let participants take action and move the experience forward themselves, including a mysterious experience where shadows change color along with a visitor's movements, giving both adults and children a chance to fully engage their senses.
Other Highlights: Unlimited Ferris Wheel and Carousel Rides, Plus Animal Feeding on Weekends, Holidays, and Year-End/New Year
A LIGHT PARKS ticket also includes rides on the night attractions (Ferris wheel and carousel), offering a luxurious view of the glowing park from above. Food stalls offering nighttime-only menus will also be set up, along with additional hippo and capybara viewing and paid hippo feeding experiences on weekends, holidays, and during busy periods, special experiences available only at night.
Running Alongside LIGHT PARKS: "Night Safari"
Discover another world that opens after the park's daytime hours close. Walk through the dark Safari World and encounter the animals' nighttime faces in a moving winter night experience.

About FeStA LuCe
FeStA LuCe means "festival of light" in Italian and is an immersive light event. Since its debut in Wakayama in 2017, it marks its 10th anniversary this year. Rather than simply offering illumination viewing, the event has introduced a new theme every year for nine years running, incorporating cutting-edge expression techniques such as projection mapping, lantern festivals, and drone shows to continually deliver new experiential value. Having expanded from Wakayama to locations across Japan, FeStA LuCe has welcomed more than 1.15 million visitors in total, establishing itself as a major light festival that colors the winter season.
