The TV anime Living Life to the Fullest in a Tiny One-Tatami-Mat-Sized Room, based on the manga by Hisamakumako serialized in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara, is set to make its presence known at AnimeJapan 2026 with a series of special events — including a venue-exclusive video screening, original flyer distribution, and an SNS campaign tied to the manga café Hedgehog (manga café).

Characters Marika Belltree and Nakaino Nao — both featured in videos currently streaming on YouTube — will appear in a venue-exclusive special video to be screened on large displays at two booths during AnimeJapan 2026.

About the Series

Story

High school student Meiko Morita is living in Akita when she is suddenly selected as a special transfer student at the prestigious girls' school Amagi Jogakuin. Excited but anxious about her new life in Tokyo, Meiko makes her way to the capital — only to find that her new home is a manga café called Hedgehog (manga café). As part of her stay, she works there alongside the other boarders as a form of community service.

And so begins Meiko's quirky one-tatami-mat life at a manga café, full of unique characters and unexpected charm.
