About London Pottery
London Pottery was founded in 1981 in Wimbledon, London, by David Birch. Combining what he learned at the Royal College of Art with manufacturing know-how gained at the historic British pottery makers Pool Pottery and The Fulham Pottery, he developed the brand's own original designs. In the late 1970s, the company released ceramic preserving jars that blended modern and traditional styling, which helped make its name known, and in the 1980s it became a pioneer in ceramic production across Asian countries.
