To mark Lotus's 77th anniversary, Hakko L-R Co., Ltd. — an authorized dealer for British luxury car brands including Lotus, Jaguar Land Rover, and Aston Martin — is offering a premium 1-night 2-day plan called "LOTUS OSAKA TOP-NOTCH TEST DRIVE." The experience, priced at ¥770,000 per pair (tax and service charge included), runs from April 19 (Sun) to May 31 (Sun), 2026, and is limited to just three groups.
The plan lets participants get behind the wheel of Lotus's latest next-generation EV models — the ELETRE and EMEYA — as well as the EMIRA, the last model featuring a gasoline engine.
A Simulated Ownership Experience Over 1 Night and 2 Days
Rather than a conventional short test drive, this itinerary is designed to help participants imagine what life with a Lotus would actually look like: how the car sits in a home garage, the quietness of an EV on the highway, and the exhilaration of arriving at a destination in style.
Staying at The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto
The destination for the drive is The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto, situated on the banks of the Kamogawa River with a view of the Higashiyama mountain range. The room reserved for this plan is the "Grand Deluxe Kamogawa River View" (55㎡), offering panoramic views of the river through floor-to-ceiling windows.
Dinner at the Hotel's Acclaimed Restaurants
Participants can choose their dinner from two of the hotel's signature restaurants. La Locanda serves Italian cuisine in a space relocated from a Meiji-era aristocratic estate, while Mizuki offers Japanese kaiseki, sushi, tempura, and teppanyaki. Both courses include sommelier-selected wine pairings, and a special Lotus-themed dessert is prepared by the hotel's pastry team as a welcome amenity upon check-in.
