ART SPACE SKY GALLERY in Ariake, Tokyo, is currently hosting "Macoto Takahashi Exhibition: Forest Party," showcasing approximately 130 original artworks created by Macoto Takahashi between the 1960s and 2000s.
Takahashi, widely celebrated as a master of shojo (girls') illustration, passed away in November 2024. Throughout his long career, he championed the message "All living things are together" — a phrase that became one of his defining mottos — by depicting animals, plants, birds, and insects alongside his signature figures.
The exhibition spans the breadth of his artistic journey: from early 1960s shojo works that helped lay the foundation of the genre, to original paintings produced for solo exhibitions after his transition to fine art in the 2000s. A number of previously unseen works are also on display.

A simultaneous remote exhibition is running alongside the in-person show, allowing those who cannot visit in person to browse approximately 80 original works online. Phone orders for original artworks are accepted.
Prints and goods are also available through a dedicated online store.
