Tokyo will host "WOODコレクション (モクコレ) 2026 Plus," a business exhibition for domestic timber aimed at boosting demand and expanding its use, on Thursday, December 24, and Friday, December 25, 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight. The in-person exhibition is expected to bring together approximately 300 exhibitors and 400 booths from 42 prefectures across Japan.
Aimed at supporting the forest cycle of "planting, growing, cutting, and using," the event serves as a venue to showcase timber products and use cases from around Japan. Under the key message "The answer to the future you're curious about lies in wood," it highlights the expanding role and future of domestic timber in industry, society, and daily life, aiming to spark new discoveries and ideas among participants.
The venue will feature theme exhibitions that clearly explain the use of domestic timber, lecture and stage programs, and business matching connecting visitors with exhibitors. An online exhibition is also planned from Tuesday, November 24, 2026, to Friday, January 22, 2027, sharing the possibilities of timber use through both in-person and online formats.

モクコレ 2026 Plus goes beyond simply displaying and introducing timber products, presenting the value and solutions domestic timber can offer for challenges in industry, society, and daily life. Alongside its use as a building material, the event introduces and proposes the possibilities of domestic timber across a wide range of fields, including solving challenges for businesses and regions, improving quality of life, and creating new products and services.
The theme exhibitions are centered around three perspectives: "Understanding Timber Use," "Turning Timber Use into Business," and "Wood and Human Wellbeing." A special exhibition themed "The Future of Timber Use Opened by AI" is also planned.
Through lecture and stage programs as well as business matching, the event also aims to create encounters with information, products, and technology tailored to visitors' interests and challenges, turning the discoveries made at the exhibition into concrete consultations, business talks, and hints for putting timber to use.
