All Exhibiting Creators Announced for HandMade In Japan Fes 2026

The complete list of creators set to exhibit at HandMade In Japan Fes (HMJ) 2026 has been announced, along with full details on the event's workshops, comedy performances, and special gallery. The festival is scheduled for Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight.

Full Creator Lineup and 70 Workshops Now Open for Booking

The roster of creators participating in HMJ 2026 has been made public. The marketplace will showcase a wide range of original works, including accessories, bags, and fashion items, alongside interior goods, kitchen items, artwork, pottery, and traditional crafts. A separate food area features 90 vendors of handmade food and drink.

Around 70 hands-on workshops led by traditional craftspeople and popular creators are also available, covering kintsugi (gold joinery), glass engraving, dyeing, leather crafting, wreath-making, terrarium-making, and more. Advance reservations for select workshops are now open.

Yoshimoto Comedy Live Show — July 12 (Sun), 11:50 AM – 12:40 PM

Three popular comedy acts have been confirmed for the Yoshimoto comedy live show in the Music & Play Area. Performing on Sunday, July 12 from 11:50 AM to 12:40 PM are:

  • Urutora Bugies – runner-up at the prestigious King of Comedy (King of Conte) competition
  • Barikata Yujo-Meshi – gaining attention on social media for their versatile character performances
  • Ichigo – who made a notable impression at last year's M-1 Grand Prix wild card round

The three acts bring a mix of talent, character, and buzz to a live stage that's sure to energize the venue.

Creema HASHTAG GALLERY: "The World of 5cm×5cm"

At the venue's atrium entrance, the popular Creema HASHTAG GALLERY makes a comeback with the theme "The World of 5cm×5cm." One hundred creators will display and sell works that pack creativity into a 5cm square. The space also includes themed workshops, photo spots, and a giant gacha machine offering limited crafts by five featured creators.

Three hands-on workshop options tie into the "5cm×5cm" theme:

  • Ishikibana Original Bonsai Making — 5,500 yen (tax included)
  • Small Dish and Glass Painting Experience: The Palm-Sized World — 3,500 yen (tax included)
  • Paper Craft: A Small Summer in Natural Wood — 1,000 yen (tax included)

Giant Gacha — 100 Pieces Limited (3,000 yen each, 50 per day)

About Creema HASHTAG GALLERY

Creema HASHTAG GALLERY originally opened in 2018 in Jingumae, Shibuya, under the concept "narrow, but deep"—hosting themed exhibitions on niche topics. Past exhibitions attracted approximately 2,000 visitors each time. The space closed when Creema relocated its headquarters, but is returning at HMJ following widespread requests from fans.

Market: Booths from 3,000 Creators

The marketplace at HMJ 2026 features booths from 3,000 creators from across Japan (total combined count across both days). Visitors can browse original works across categories including accessories, fashion, interior décor, art, pottery, and traditional crafts. Many creators will accept custom orders on-site, and HMJ-exclusive items and new releases will also be on offer.

The workshop lineup spans approximately 70 types of hands-on making experiences. Each session is led by a popular creator, resulting in a one-of-a-kind handmade piece. Activities are suitable for both adults and children.

The food area brings together 90 vendors from around Japan, with offerings ranging from baked goods and breads to specialty-roaster coffee, tea, condiments, and craft alcoholic beverages—all chosen with attention to ingredients and preparation.
