The theme draws on the idea of spring as a season when music begins to play — layering delicate aromas and flavors much like the overlapping harmonies of a musical.

The star of this piece is Shonan Gold, a golden-hued orange variety grown in Shonan. The zest, known for its bright fragrance, is combined with the flesh — appreciated for its refined acidity and rich taste — and blended generously with a gentle milk chocolate. After harvesting, the fruit undergoes additional ripening to concentrate its umami, resulting in a small but deeply flavored treat. Light aromas and flavors come together beautifully, delivering a joyful experience akin to listening to a beautiful melody.

Two varieties of kiwi — gold and green — grown in the hills of Kanagawa Prefecture and nurtured by ocean breezes from Shonan, come together in this piece. Both fruits are generously blended and paired with a single-terroir milk chocolate that brings out their natural character. The dense sweetness and rich aroma of the gold kiwi harmonize with the refreshing acidity of the green kiwi, creating a pairing that feels as vibrant and exhilarating as the moment a curtain rises.
Fresh Chocolate Cookie MUSICAL — ¥3,024 (tax included)
With a satisfying crunch on the first bite, followed by a melt-in-the-mouth texture reminiscent of fresh chocolate, this cookie offers a surprisingly luxurious experience for a baked treat. A single-terroir milk chocolate is paired with Earl Grey for a light, elegant flavor. The graceful fragrance spreads gently, leaving a refined aftertaste that lingers like a musical refrain.

The MUSICAL COLLECTION goes on sale from Wednesday, April 1 and will be available through Sunday, May 31 at all MAISON CACAO stores and the official online shop. The Fresh Chocolate Cookie joins from Thursday, April 9 and is available while supplies last.
