Finnish design house Marimekko, operated by Look Inc., celebrates its 75th anniversary with the release of two Japan-exclusive anniversary tote bags. Alongside the new Maridenim collection and home goods, these items will be available for pre-sale on the official Japanese online store starting January 16th (Friday) at 10:00 AM.

2026: The Art of Printmaking
In 2026, Marimekko focuses on "The art of printmaking" as its annual theme. This theme breathes life into all of the brand's activities and serves as the foundation of Marimekko. It represents both an artistic and technical skill, as well as a tradition passed down for over 75 years. The symbol of this legacy is Marimekko's print archive, a collection of over 3,500 unique print designs that continues to grow each year with creative new designs from a new generation of print designers. The first collection of the year features iconic prints from the archive, including Unikko, Vihkiruusu, and Keidas, setting the mood for the year ahead.
Japan-Exclusive 75th Anniversary Tote Bags
To commemorate its 75th anniversary, Marimekko is releasing special tote bags exclusive to Japan. These bags feature a unique fusion design combining two iconic prints by Maija Isola: "Unikko" and "Vihkiruusu," created specifically for this anniversary celebration.
The limited-edition tote bags are printed at Marimekko's print factory in Finland. The natural off-white base beautifully highlights the bags' vibrant color schemes in black, blue, and red.
