Okamoto Corporation, a legwear manufacturer and wholesaler whose socks rank No. 1 in domestic sales (according to the Senken Shimbun, dated July 31, 2026), is adding two limited-edition colors — Pale Pink and Light Greige — to its winter staple "Marude Kotatsu Socks" for the 2026 autumn/winter season, available only while stock from this season's production lasts.
From early September, the socks will be sold in stages at variety shops, supermarkets, mass retailers, and drugstores nationwide, as well as through the official online shop (https://shop.okamotogroup.com/ic/kotatsu).

About "Marude Kotatsu Socks"
The room socks, designed to combat cold feet, have sold more than 16 million pairs cumulatively (based on Okamoto Corporation's shipment figures as of March 2025).
The secret to their warmth is at the ankle: a heat-generating material is placed over a point known as "三陰交," delivering thermal stimulation (Patent No. 6043982) that gradually warms the ankle. The rest of the sock uses the company's own proprietary insulating material to keep the feet gently warm.
Worn extended, the socks reach up to below the knee, softly wrapping the toes through the calf.
