Snow Peak is adding a new down series, "Pertex Light Weight Down," to its fall/winter 2026 apparel lineup. It goes on sale on Friday, October 16 at Snow Peak's directly managed stores nationwide and its online store.
The series uses 20D PERTEX® QUANTUM for the outer fabric, making for a new down lineup that is lightweight and offers excellent warmth.
PERTEX® is a high-performance fabric that balances light weight with functionality and is used even in harsh environments such as high mountains. Among the PERTEX® fabrics, PERTEX® QUANTUM, the material used in this series, is especially light and is often used in down sleeping bags for mountaineering.
The densely woven, light and supple fabric blocks wind while keeping the down from escaping. By helping the down loft naturally, it draws out the most warmth and makes the garment light and comfortable to wear.
The down itself is 800 fill power washable down. The pieces are designed as high-performance items that work well both outdoors and in town.
This season's lineup includes a hooded jacket and a vest that can be worn by men and women alike, as well as a women's jacket with a compact length for easier movement.
The relaxed, roomy silhouette can be adjusted with a drawcord at the hem. Besides flap pockets that keep contents from falling out, there are warm pockets on the sides, a concealed pocket tucked into the seam on the left chest, and an elastic-shirred easy pocket on the inside. The simple design comes with plenty of storage.
The series comes in three colors: black and dark brown, which are easy to coordinate, and light blue, which adds an accent to an outfit.
With its high functionality and refined design, the series adds a light touch to fall and winter outings.
Note: Because the fabric is thin, avoid wearing these pieces near campfires or when using fire equipment.
