Ginza is set to welcome a rebranded boutique hotel. Granvista Hotels & Resorts (headquartered in Chiyoda City, Tokyo; President and CEO Yukio Arai) will rebrand the Ginza Grand Hotel, located in Ginza, Chuo City, Tokyo, into "Maven Ginza (メイヴン ギンザ)" on Friday, April 9, 2027. Reservations open from Friday, September 18.
Maven Ginza is built around the concept of "Ginza's Timeless Boutique Hotel," carrying forward the value Ginza has built up over the years while continuing, as part of the community, to help shape the neighborhood's future. Across its 147 guest rooms, the "Blooming Heritage" design theme takes plants named after Ginza's streets as its motif, creating spaces where Japanese tradition meets modern culture. The rooms are designed for calm, comfortable stays, including extended ones.
Staff at the hotel, known as "Wish Crafters," draw on their deep knowledge of Ginza to guide each guest toward a stay suited to them, from neighborhood walks to restaurants and cultural experiences. Under the concept copy "Meet Your Maven," Maven Ginza aims to offer a stay where tradition and modernity intersect — a fitting start or finish to any journey, and one that lets guests leave feeling like a true Ginza insider.

Design Theme: Blooming Heritage
Inspired by a Ginza lined with trees and seasonal blooms that greet visitors in style, the guest rooms take plants named after Ginza's streets as their design motif.
Sample Room Designs
Maven Suite ICHOU pairs a chic, monotone space with gold and red accents drawn from ginkgo (icho) leaves, for an elegant, vibrant atmosphere.
Junior Suite YANAGI is set in a blue-based palette with green accents inspired by willow (yanagi) trees, with windows that look out onto the bustle of Ginza.
Interior design is by Gensler and Associates / International, Ltd., who commented: "'Blooming Heritage' carries the intention of honoring the aesthetic sensibility Ginza has inherited across the years, while always embracing new sensibilities and letting that appeal bloom into the future. We expressed Ginza's distinctive elegance and glamour through layered colors and textures, designing interiors that offer both genuine comfort and a memorable, special feeling."
