Sushi, Tempura & Teppanyaki "Hagoromo," located inside Meiji Kinenkan in Moto-Akasaka, Tokyo, is once again offering its handmade "Hagoromo's Steamed Chestnut Yokan" for a limited time this autumn. Available for takeout only, the seasonal sweet goes on sale from September 4 (Friday) through November 30 (Monday), 2026, priced at ¥2,430 (tax included).

"Hagoromo's Steamed Chestnut Yokan" pairs smooth koshian, a strained red bean paste made with Hokkaido-grown azuki beans, with plenty of chestnuts, and is steamed by hand, one piece at a time, at Hagoromo. The mellow, melt-in-the-mouth koshian is combined generously with mildly sweet chestnuts, letting the flavor of each ingredient come through in a delicate balance.
Made with an abundance of chestnuts, a taste of the season, the yokan suits a quiet cup of tea at home and also makes a fitting seasonal gift or souvenir. It returns to popular demand each year, making this a good chance to try it.

- While great care is taken in preparation, for the best taste and food safety, please avoid direct sunlight and hot, humid conditions after purchase and consume within 2 hours.
- Pickup is at the restaurant only; delivery is not available.
- For cancellations or changes, a charge of 50% of the price will apply from 5:00 PM the day before pickup, and 100% will apply on the day of pickup.

"Hagoromo" features dedicated counters for sushi, tempura, and teppanyaki, where skilled chefs prepare seasonal Japanese dishes in front of guests. Counter seats offer an interactive experience with the chefs, while private rooms and table seating are also available.
