Mercian's "Cocktail Sparkling Wine" range is set to grow with the addition of "Cocktail Sparkling Wine White Wine × Peach Fizz" (290ml can), arriving in stores across Japan on June 23, 2026 (Tuesday).
The RTD (Ready to Drink) market has been on a steady upward trend in recent years, with consumers often reaching for something a little special on weekends or after a long day. Mercian's Cocktail Sparkling Wine series was created with wine newcomers and younger RTD drinkers in mind, pairing wine with carefully selected fruit juices and ingredients for an easy-to-enjoy taste. The series launched in June 2025 with three flavors — White Wine × Iced Tea, Rosé Wine × Grapefruit Squash, and Red Wine × Lemonade — and surpassed 600,000 bottles sold within just 10 months.
The new White Wine × Peach Fizz was developed around the peach flavor, which came out on top in customer research. A white wine chosen specifically to complement peach juice gives the drink a fresh, juicy character and a smooth, accessible taste. With summer approaching, the new flavor is aimed at bringing even more people to wine drinking.
