American outdoor brand MERRELL, imported and distributed in Japan by Marubeni Consumer Link Co., Ltd., brings its 2026 fall/winter "MERRELL JAPAN APPAREL" collection — designed to seamlessly connect the city and the outdoors — to stores from September 18, 2026 (Friday).
"Clothing That Adapts Fluidly to Ever-Changing Temperatures and Environments"
The FW26 season builds its product theme around "SHED SKIN," a concept meaning evolution through shedding, and brings it to life through layering, detachable pieces, and reversible construction that let the wearer change their look to suit the environment or scene. Rather than a garment defining a single use or style, the idea is to choose and rearrange pieces to match the day's temperature, location, and activity. From this starting point, MERRELL translates the functionality and comfort it has built in the outdoors into "MERRELL JAPAN APPAREL," a line that moves between city and field.
The lineup includes a reversible jacket, vest, and pants made with MERRELL's original amoeba camo jacquard boa fleece, combining a soft boa fleece known for warmth and quick drying with a light, crisp nylon, fusing the feel and function of two different materials into a single style. The "Mesh Fleece" series uses a lightweight, breathable polyester mesh and comes in half-zip and full-zip hoodie styles; alongside a comfortable fit that releases moisture from inside the garment, it is offered in both a solid color and MERRELL's original amoeba pattern, adding a functional and design accent to fall/winter layering.
Also joining the lineup is the "NYLON UTILITY COAT," based on a field parka and modernizing practical details such as deep flap pockets and a stowable hood; the three-dimensional silhouette and calm texture of its high-density nylon tussah bring outdoor-derived practicality into everyday city life. To mark the brand's 45th anniversary, the creative content "BACK TO MERRELL" reworks graphics from actual catalogs published in the 1990s through the early 2000s with a contemporary perspective, applied to a short-sleeve T-shirt and crew sweatshirt that connect MERRELL's history to its present-day style.
