Minami-Chita Beachland & Minami-Chita Toy Kingdom (428-1 Okuda, Mihama-cho, Chita-gun, Aichi; Director: Mamoru Ishido) will hold a special after-hours event called the "Night Aquarium Tour" on eight dates this summer: July 18 (Saturday), 19 (Sunday), and 25 (Saturday), plus August 1 (Saturday), 8 (Saturday), 15 (Saturday), 22 (Saturday), and 29 (Saturday), 2026.
Guided by an aquarium keeper, participants explore the aquarium after closing time with a flashlight in hand, discovering how the animals behave differently once night falls and taking in the quiet atmosphere that settles over the aquarium after dark. As a highlight found only during this event, visitors can also watch a bioluminescence demonstration featuring sea fireflies (umihotaru), offering a fantastical light show.

Night Aquarium Tour Details
Dates: July 18 (Sat), 19 (Sun), 25 (Sat), August 1 (Sat), 8 (Sat), 15 (Sat), 22 (Sat), and 29 (Sat), 2026
Time: 6:30 PM each day (approximately 2 hours)
Fee: ¥3,000 per person (ages 2 and up), including admission and flashlight rental
Capacity: 45 participants per day; a minimum of 10 participants is required for the tour to proceed (bookings close at midnight three days prior). If the minimum is not reached, participants will be notified of cancellation by email by 5:00 PM three days before the event.
