Mineral cafe Mineral Muru, based in Itami City, Hyogo Prefecture, is holding its first exhibition in the Kanto region: a two-day special exhibition and sale at Stella Gallery Shinjuku (7-1-11 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) on Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, 2026.
The event features carefully selected mineral specimens, natural stones, gemstones, and fossils from around the world, available for viewing and purchase. On display is a collection shaped entirely by nature — gemstones with brilliant clarity, natural stones in vivid colors, and fossils that have survived tens of millions to hundreds of millions of years into the present.
Bringing Nature's Beauty Into Everyday Life
In recent years, many people have developed an interest in minerals through manga, anime, and games, and first-time visitors to mineral events are welcome. The exhibition introduces the formation and appeal of minerals in an easy-to-understand way, along with each specimen's unique character, so newcomers can enjoy the event with confidence.

Drip Coffee and Tea Gifts Inspired by Gemstones
The event also sells Mineral Muru's original drip coffee and tea, inspired by gemstones, which has sold more than 30,000 units combined at mineral shows and the brand's physical store.
Each blend is developed by drawing inspiration from individual gemstones and refined through repeated trial and error, making it a signature original blend from the mineral cafe. It's also recommended as a summer gift for family and friends.
Gemstone Kaleidoscope-Making Workshop
The venue is also hosting a popular hands-on program: a gemstone kaleidoscope-making workshop, in which participants seal real gemstones inside a kaleidoscope they build themselves. While creating a one-of-a-kind kaleidoscope, visitors can experience the fantastical world of light that gemstones create. The workshop costs ¥1,650 (tax included).

Ammolite, Born From the Ancient Sea
Ammolite is a fossil that can be described as "Earth's history itself" — formed from organisms that once lived in ancient seas and preserved through crustal movement and sedimentation into the present day. At the same time, it's a rare gemstone born from nature's accumulated coincidences. Being able to sense both the history of life and the workings of the Earth in a single specimen is part of what makes ammolite special.
Every Piece Is One of a Kind
Even gemstones of the same type differ in color depth, inclusions, and the brilliance created by their cut. Choosing a stone on instinct because "I like this one" is part of the appeal of loose gemstones.
Custom orders are also available, and Mineral Muru can craft gemstones into rings, necklaces, earrings, and more upon request.
