TV Anime "Monster Eater" Reveals Opening Theme Info & 3rd Teaser PV

The TV anime Monster Eater has revealed its opening (OP) theme information along with a 3rd teaser PV.

Opening Theme Revealed

The opening theme has been decided: "Shouki no Sata" (正気の沙汰), an original track written by exotic rock band NEE. The song is a fierce rock anthem that foreshadows the hardships awaiting Rudo and Elicia on their adventure.

About NEE

Formed somewhere in Tokyo in July 2017, NEE made their major debut on September 1 of the same year through Victor Entertainment / Getting Better Records. They have performed at numerous large festivals, captivating audiences with their addictive music and stunning performances, drawing crowds that exceeded venue capacities. While making their mark on the festival scene, their nationwide tours also saw consistent SOLD OUT runs.

In May 2024, vocalist Kuu passed away. However, in June, the band held their outdoor concert "Tokyo, Natsu no Siren" at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall.

From October, they resumed activities with a new lineup. In October 2025, they released their first album as a trio, "Saisei Kano" (再生可能), and completed their largest-ever nationwide tour, "NEE 10th TOUR 'EXOTIC METTYA SAISEI.'"

Continuing to make their presence felt in both streaming and live scenes, NEE is described as a truly "exotic" band with unstoppable momentum.

Rudo is an E-rank adventurer whose only skill, "Status Ailment Nullification," is only useful for gathering medicinal herbs in dungeons filled with miasma. With virtually no combat ability, he is mocked by fellow adventurers as a "miasma scavenger." In an attempt to break free from his situation, he sets out to explore a new dungeon—only to be betrayed by his companions and left stranded. With his supplies exhausted and on the verge of death, he makes the decision to eat monster flesh, a forbidden act. And so begins Rudo's "Monster Eater" adventure, where he relentlessly devours monsters to acquire new skills!
