Moominvalley Park (ムーミンバレーパーク), operated by Moomin Monogatari Co., Ltd. in Hanno, Saitama, is holding "Harvest at Moominvalley Park" from Saturday, September 12 through Sunday, October 25, 2026, an event to fully enjoy the park's fruitful autumn season.
Highlights include a lakeside terrace inspired by the Joxter — Moominpappa's friend and Snufkin's father — a participatory show where visitors join Moomintroll and friends in celebrating autumn, "Apple Pop Playtime!," and an autumn Umbrella Sky filled with vivid kochia and apple colors. Decor that blends into the surrounding nature and staging inspired by a scene from "Moominpappa's Memoirs" also bring out the artistic side of the Moomin story.
A new character also joins Moominvalley Park starting with this event. Celebrate the harvest festival in a park where art and nature come together.

A Terrace for Relaxing Like Moominpappa's Friend the Joxter

The spacious, roughly 320-square-meter Lakeside Terrace (湖上のテラス), where visitors can feel a pleasant autumn breeze, transforms into a spot for unwinding at your own pace — just like the free-spirited, carefree Joxter. Lie back on a large cushion as if you were the Joxter yourself, and listen to the sound of leaves rustling in the wind and the soothing murmur of the water.
"Apple Pop Playtime!" — Celebrating Autumn With Moominvalley's Friends

A new show, "Apple Pop Playtime!," debuts at the all-weather theater Emma's Theater (エンマの劇場). The program features a rotating lineup of Moominvalley friends appearing each day.

A Must-See Photo Spot Where Umbrellas, Apples, and Kochia Come Together

Along the path leading from the entrance to the Moominvalley area, the Umbrella Sky that has continued since early summer changes into eye-catching autumn colors, filling the clear sky above. This time, the umbrellas are paired with a special collaboration: roughly 90-centimeter balloon decorations styled after the apples that Moomintroll and friends harvest in the story. Lush kochia below adds even more color, making this a photo spot suited to the season.
Decor Inspired by "Autumn in Moominvalley," Bringing the Story's Art to Life

During the event, Moominvalley Park is decorated and planted with autumn fruits and pumpkins in a design inspired by "Autumn in Moominvalley."
The Flower and Story Terrace (花と物語のテラス) once again takes "Moominpappa's Memoirs" as its theme this year, featuring art panels and staging that spotlight not only the Joxter but also Moominpappa's friends Fredrikson (フレドリクソン) and the Muddler, creating a relaxing space where adults, too, can unwind while touching on scenes from the story.
The path leading to the lighthouse is also lit with illumination reminiscent of early autumn leaves, offering a different look after dark. In addition, the "Moominvalley Lake Fireworks" (ムーミン谷の湖上花火大会) display takes place on weekends and holidays during the event, letting visitors enjoy fireworks alongside the park's fantastical illuminations, all within the story's world.
