MT. FUJI FIREWORKS vs SPEEDWAY 2027 Reveals Five-Chapter RESONANCE Fireworks Program, With Early-Bird Tickets From November 4

The fireworks program has been finalized for MT. FUJI FIREWORKS vs SPEEDWAY 2027, which takes place at Fuji Speedway on April 3, 2027 (Saturday). The event is organized by the Mt. Fuji Fireworks Executive Committee.

The theme of this milestone 5th edition is "RESONANCE". Four of Japan's leading fireworks companies bring their own sense of beauty and technique to the show, which tells a one-night, five-chapter story in the sky over Mt. Fuji. The program also includes a thunderous collaboration with motorsports on the 1.5 km home straight and 2-shaku shells that fill the night sky, a set of challenges that can only be experienced at this venue.

In addition, from November 4 (Wednesday), a general early-bird ticket with 10% off select popular ticket types goes on sale.

Scene from the 2026 event

The Fireworks Program Is Set

The fireworks program of MT. FUJI FIREWORKS vs SPEEDWAY 2027 portrays the theme "RESONANCE" through five chapters, "Encounter," "Overlap," "Resonate," "Unfold," and "Beyond," along with special segments.

The more distinctive each individual character is, the richer the world that resonates together becomes.

The techniques and sense of beauty that pyrotechnicians have refined, the emotions awakened by music, and the feelings each person carries in their heart come together and resonate, weaving a beautiful world.

The different brilliance of each chapter paints a one-night story in the sky over Mt. Fuji.

The chapters are handled by four of Japan's leading fireworks companies: Ikebun Co., Ltd., Marutamaya Ogatsu Fireworks Co., Ltd., Katakai Enka Kogyo Co., Ltd., and Nomura Hanabi Kogyo Co., Ltd.

Chapter 1: ENCOUNTER (Handled by Ikebun Co., Ltd. × FORMULA DRIFT JAPAN)

Everything begins with an encounter between different things.

A circuit stretching out at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Cars racing, engines echoing, people visiting, and fireworks coloring the night sky.

As the day goes on, each of these worlds draws a little closer.

Different things meet again, here in this place.

Chapter 2: OVERLAP (Handled by Marutamaya Ogatsu Fireworks Co., Ltd.)

Each light launched into the night sky calls forth the next, and that light in turn creates the next moment.

A light that opens wide. A light that spreads quietly. A light that vanishes in an instant. A light that lingers in the night sky.

As different kinds of brilliance overlap in layers, what were once points of light gradually turn into one large landscape.

The overlapping lights paint a new story in the night sky.

Chapter 3: RESONATE (Handled by Katakai Enka Kogyo Co., Ltd.)

The overlapping lights begin to respond to one another.

One firework opens. Its light fills the night sky and leads into the next firework.

Sounds echoing out. Light racing across the sky. Fireworks opening one after another.

Each light sets off the others, making the emotion of each moment even greater.

Before long, they become a great surge of light that no single firework could have created, spreading across the entire night sky.

Light and light resonate with each other, creating a deep sense of emotion in the night sky.

"Wish upon a star" Project (Handled by Nomura Hanabi Kogyo Co., Ltd.)

Post your message or wish on social media with the hashtags "#富士山花火 #星に願いを" (photos and illustrations are also welcome). Several of the messages received will be selected and read aloud during the main fireworks program, and will also be introduced on the official website.

Special Program: In Remembrance / Offering Prayers (Handled by Katakai Enka Kogyo Co., Ltd.)

Chapter 4: UNFOLD (Handled by Nomura Hanabi Kogyo Co., Ltd.)

A flash of light opens wide across the night sky.

From small blooming lights to lights so large they cover the sky.

High, far, and big.

The fireworks keep changing form, opening up one world after another in the night sky.

One shining flower produces the next, and before long countless lights spread across the entire sky.

Each time they open, the fireworks create a new night sky.

Chapter 5: BEYOND (Handled by Ikebun Co., Ltd.)

Once everything has resonated, something new is born.

Fireworks and cars. Mt. Fuji and the circuit. Tradition and innovation. Pyrotechnicians, music, and light. And the audience and this place.

Because each is different, after they meet, overlap, and resonate, there is a view that can only be born here.

It is not fireworks to simply "watch," but new fireworks, found only in this place in 2027, born from everything experienced over the course of the day coming together.

And that new view connects to the next future.

Everything that resonates becomes the future.

Note: Katakai Enka Kogyo will launch the 2-shaku shells in "Wish upon a star" and in the Chapter 5 finale.

The Fireworks Program Opens With a Powerful Drift Performance

The fireworks program opens with a powerful drift performance. As the opening act of Chapter 1, "Encounter," FORMULA DRIFT JAPAN machines race around Fuji Speedway at dusk, performing alongside fireworks by Ikebun Co., Ltd. White tire smoke, engine noise, and light rising into the night sky. The story of the night begins at the moment two different worlds, cars and fireworks, meet.

Pyrotechnicians on Choosing a Seat and Enjoying the Show

The pyrotechnicians who create the fireworks program for MT. FUJI FIREWORKS vs SPEEDWAY 2027 were asked how the show looks from different seats and how to enjoy each one.

Ueda, Factory Manager, Ikebun Co., Ltd.

"Overview or Impact?" The Fun of Taking It All In, and the Fun of Being Surrounded

"The U-23 Turn 1 Grandstand 熱響 Area lets you take in the whole of the fireworks from above and watch in a relaxed way. It is one of the areas we have recommended for some time.

The second floor of the Grandstand seats, especially the front where the view is open, is also recommended. Along with the full spread of the fireworks, you can look down on the cars running along the home straight and the circuit.

The viewing areas in the paddock, close to the launch site, are appealing for the power of the fireworks and the feeling of being wrapped in them. On the other hand, in the Grandstand seats, the roof and the structure of the stands make the sound of the fireworks seem to wrap around you, giving you a different kind of impact.

I think each has its own appeal: the fun of watching the fireworks and car performances from a wide view, and the fun of feeling the fireworks up close near the launch site."

Nomura, President, Nomura Hanabi Kogyo Co., Ltd.

"A Planetarium of Fireworks" An Immersive Experience Unique to the Reclining Chair Seats

President Nomura, who has watched from a reclining chair seat directly beneath the fireworks, describes the experience.

"You lie back comfortably, and it feels like you're looking at outer space. Like being drawn into the night sky. It's like a planetarium of fireworks."

Ogatsu, President, Marutamaya Ogatsu Fireworks Co., Ltd.

"The Reach of Music and Fireworks" Viewing Tips From the Person Who Creates the Program

Speaking from the position of someone who designs the fireworks performance and its composition, President Ogatsu shares points to consider when choosing a viewing position.

"We basically create a fireworks program with the view from the center, directly in front, in mind. Being able to hear the music and being able to see the full width of the display as the fireworks spread to the left and right. Those two things are the key points for enjoying the performance."

Honda, President, Katakai Enka Kogyo Co., Ltd.

"Every Seat Is the Best Seat" Intensity or the Whole View: Choose a Seat to Suit Your Taste

President Honda says there are different appeals to watching the whole view of the fireworks as art and to feeling the sound and power with your body up close.

"At Fuji Speedway, you can enjoy the fireworks in different ways from many different places. In that sense, every seat is the best seat. After that, I think you can choose your seat by thinking about how you want to enjoy the fireworks."
