A one-night, two-day stay tour, "Mt.Fuji Deep Nature Premium Tour" (Mt.Fuji ディープネイチャー・プレミアムツアー), will be held on December 19 (Sat.) and 20 (Sun.), 2026. The tour is hosted by the Fuji no Kuni Night Tourism Committee (富士の国ナイトツーリズム委員会) and planned and operated by Raquan Inc. (株式会社ラクアン).
Ahead of the event, the main visual, the logo, and Japanese and English flyers have been released, and applications have opened for a monitor tour limited to 10 participants.
Background: From Pass-Through Sightseeing to a Winter Stay at Lake Saiko
Many travelers from Japan and abroad visit the area around Mt. Fuji. Most of them, however, stop only to take photos at well-known viewpoints such as the Lake Kawaguchi area and the 5th Station, then move on to another place within a few hours. This "pass-through tourism" is the mainstream pattern. Sightseeing also peaks in the daytime in summer and autumn, so the appeal of winter and of the morning and night hours has not been fully communicated, which is a local issue.
The Lake Saiko area and Aokigahara Forest, where tourism development has been kept in check, still hold a natural environment that is best appreciated by staying for a while: clear winter air, quiet forest and lake, and lava terrain created by Mt. Fuji's volcanic activity.
This tour was planned not just to "look at" Mt. Fuji from afar, but to "experience" it by going into the nature and culture at its foot. It includes a nighttime campfire and quiet early-morning time on the lake, which a day trip cannot offer. The aim is to spread the flow of visitors concentrated around Lake Kawaguchi out to the Lake Saiko area and to create a new winter style of staying.
English-language information is also available so that visitors from overseas can join. The event is the first tour ahead of full-scale operation from next fiscal year onward.

Main Tour Contents
1. Winter Trek Through Aokigahara Forest and Lava Caves (Day 1, Morning)
With an expert guide, walk through the quiet winter Aokigahara Forest and its lava caves. The program lets participants get a close look at the distinctive terrain formed by Mt. Fuji's eruptions and the vegetation of the forest, and learn how Mt. Fuji was formed.
2. Afternoon Activity of Your Choice: E-bike Ride or Lakeside Sauna (Day 1, Afternoon)
In the afternoon, participants can choose between two courses.
- Course A (satoyama loop ride by E-bike): Ride an electrically assisted bicycle (E-bike) with a guide along old roads that tour buses do not use, through the areas where local people live, and through the forest around Lake Saiko.
- Course B (sauna experience on the shore of Lake Saiko): Take a sauna on the shore of Lake Saiko and spend time refreshing yourself in the cold winter outdoor air.
3. An Evening With Guest Janni Olsson (Day 1, Night)
From 7:30 PM, after dinner, the guest is Janni Olsson (ヤンニ・オルソン), known as the "Swedish Outdoor Girl," who is active on NHK programs and in outdoor magazines such as "BE-PAL." Under the winter starry sky, there will be time to talk at leisure about Nordic outdoor culture and ways to enjoy nature.
4. Stay at Amuse Hotel "A VILLAGE," Opened in May 2026
The accommodation is Amuse Hotel "A VILLAGE" (アミューズホテル), which opened on the shore of Lake Saiko in May 2026. In this new facility surrounded by nature, participants can stay at leisure from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast the next morning.
5. Early-Morning Lake Saiko Kayaking and Lakeside Yoga (Day 2, Morning)
On the morning of Day 2, go kayaking on Lake Saiko at a quiet time of day with few people, and enjoy the scenery of the foot of Mt. Fuji from the water. Participants can also try yoga on the lakeshore.
After the tour disbands, an optional "plant dyeing experience" using Mt. Fuji spring water is also available from 3:00 PM for those who wish to join.
