The third edition of the "Yorokobu Teshigoto-ichi" (Joyful Handcraft Market) is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Nara Convention Center's 2nd Floor Tenpyo Gallery — the floor directly above NARA TSUTAYA BOOKS. Around 40 vendors specializing in handmade goods and artisan foods will participate.
The market was first launched in 2024 with the idea that handcrafted items — each made with care and personal intention — can bring small joys to everyday life. While the first two editions were held outdoors, this third installment moves indoors to the Tenpyo Gallery.
Handmade Goods Vendors
Items on display include hand-woven stoles, sashiko fabric, hand-embroidered accessories, and clothing remade from vintage cloth that has passed through many hands and stories. A mascot-making workshop booth will also be available on the day.
