Nerunerunerune Marks 40th Anniversary with "Witch's House" Pop-Up Party at Queen's Square Yokohama

Kracie's Foods Company is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its long-running DIY candy Nerunerunerune with a hands-on pop-up event themed around the home of "Majo-san," the witch character familiar from the brand's TV commercials. The event takes place at Queen's Square Yokohama.

The three-day event runs from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2, 2026. Admission is free and open to everyone, making it an easy stop for a summer outing.

A Special 40th Anniversary Event: "Nerune Party at the Witch's House"

Majo-san has appeared in Nerunerunerune's TV commercials since the candy first launched in 1986, becoming a familiar and beloved presence over the years. To mark Nerunerunerune's 40th anniversary and give fans a chance to celebrate alongside a character even more people can enjoy, Kracie asked the public for ideas on how Majo-san could transform to become even more popular — and unveiled her new look in February 2026.

At this event, guests can celebrate Nerunerunerune's 40th anniversary together with Majo-san inside a pop, colorful "Witch's House." In response to children's requests to play with Majo-san, the event also includes a hands-on "Nerunerunerune Experience" and other activities, offering plenty of chances to make fun memories with the character.

Nerunerunerune Turns 40 in 2026, Still Evolving

Nerunerunerune was born in 1986, inspired by the idea of children playing in the mud. Today it has grown into a long-selling Chiiku Okashi® — an "educational confectionery" designed to deliver a fun, delicious hands-on experience — loved by children and adults alike.

To celebrate its 40th anniversary this year, the brand aims to bring customers even more excitement and enjoyment alongside its gratitude to fans, with Nerunerunerune continuing to evolve.

Chiiku Okashi®: Confectionery That Builds Children's Confidence
