A Skating Rink Pops Up at LaLaport Toyosu This Summer for "Shirokuma-kun COOL PARK 2026"

A skating rink is appearing in the middle of summer at Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu, 1F Wood Deck (Koto City, Tokyo). From Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, July 26, 2026, the four-day pop-up "Shirokuma-kun COOL PARK 2026" invites visitors to cool off alongside Shirokuma-kun, the mascot character of Hitachi Room Air Conditioners.

About the Event

Shirokuma-kun, who stands by people battling the summer heat, is bringing a special play space built around the idea of enjoying the hot season while staying cool. The park's centerpiece is a large resin skating rink where visitors can try skating in the height of summer. There's also a festival-style game corner offering Shirokuma-kun merchandise as prizes, and a photo spot inside a cool dome where guests can take pictures with Shirokuma-kun. The lineup is designed to appeal to a wide range of ages, from children to adults, and includes an exhibition by demo skaters and a live ice-sculpture performance for a visually cooling experience as well.

Program

1. Midsummer Skating Experience (Skating Rink)

Skating rink at Shirokuma-kun COOL PARK

A full-size resin skating rink measuring 16 meters by 8 meters is set up on-site. Shoes, protective gear, and assistive equipment for children who find skating difficult are all available to rent free of charge, making the rink accessible to a wide range of ages.

Numbered tickets are handed out on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:05 PM, and 4:05 PM, with each session lasting 15 minutes. See the official website for details. The rink uses resin rather than ice, so ice-skating boots cannot be used.

2. Demo Skater Exhibition

An exhibition by demo skaters will be held, offering a cool skating show in the middle of summer. See the official website for show times.

3. Ice Sculpture Show

An ice sculptor carves a block of ice into a Shirokuma-kun figure live on-site, delivering a dynamic performance that brings a real sense of coolness. See the official website for show times.

4. Shirokuma-kun Dome (Photo Spot & Greeting)

The Shirokuma-kun Dome, cooled by Hitachi room air conditioners, offers a comfortable midsummer oasis complete with a photo spot. Shirokuma-kun is also scheduled to appear at the venue, giving visitors a chance to take photos together. Guests who post venue photos on social media with the hashtags "#PR#白くまくん真夏のスケート体験" or "#PR#白くまくんCOOLPARK" will receive a commemorative gift.

5. Festival Games

Splash Hit

"Splash Hit"

Two summer-festival-style games are on offer: "Snowball Bingo" and "Splash Hit." In Snowball Bingo, players throw white balls at a target from a set distance, and getting a full line — vertical, horizontal, or diagonal — wins a bingo. In Splash Hit, players use a water gun to knock down targets within a time limit.

Everyone who takes part in either game receives a Shirokuma-kun fan, and those who clear a game receive a Shirokuma-kun sticker.
