New Era, the global sports and fashion brand, is releasing a second collaboration cap with SASHIKO GALS (サシコギャルズ), a sashiko embroidery community founded on March 11, 2024, in Otsuchi-cho, Iwate Prefecture. The caps will go on sale in limited quantities at New Era Ginza and the New Era official online store on Saturday, June 27.

SASHIKO GALS is a project that reinterprets the traditional Japanese technique of "sashiko" embroidery through a contemporary sensibility, connecting culture and community to the future through handcraft. The project has expanded across sneakers, art pieces, and other categories without limiting itself to a single material or genre.
Following the first New Era x SASHIKO GALS collaboration released in March 2026 — which sold out immediately — the second collection has been announced. While the first release featured three styles, the second features a total of six: 59FIFTY® and 9TWENTY™ versions for the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, and San Diego Padres.
In the second collection, the sashiko color palette has been adjusted to better highlight each team's colors and logo design. The 59FIFTY® features all-over sashiko embroidery for a design that fully expresses the SASHIKO GALS aesthetic, while the 9TWENTY™ features partial sashiko embroidery for a design suited to everyday wear.

About SASHIKO GALS
SASHIKO GALS is a community of sashiko embroidery artisans based in Otsuchi-cho, Iwate Prefecture. The project was launched on March 11, 2024 — thirteen years after the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Its roots lie in the "Otsuchi Sashiko Project," which began as reconstruction support. Starting with 15 members at its founding, the community has grown to 23 members, primarily women ranging from their 40s to 80s.
While rooted in Otsuchi-cho, the project has expanded to Tokyo and Osaka, creating a new form of cultural circulation that remains grounded locally while connecting to urban centers. The project develops across materials and genres — including sneakers, caps, and art pieces — creating new value through skilled sashiko techniques.
