Hello! This is Hina from the Holiday Travel editorial team! ✨
Our office is located in the charming Ningyocho and Suitengu area, where traditional downtown atmosphere blends with modern business life. Office buildings coexist with old-fashioned shops, and the area is home to many individually-owned restaurants! You can enjoy diverse lunch options from Japanese to Western and Chinese cuisine—that's the real charm of this area.
Today, I'll share our top three favorite lunch spots that we regularly visit!
1. Aphro+ (Afro Ningyocho)
This restaurant specializes in exquisite low-temperature cooked chicken and pork! The meat is incredibly juicy, and once you try it, you'll never forget the taste. The best part is that soup and drinks are self-service with free refills.
The rice bowl style with meat on top of rice is absolutely satisfying. Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy a healthy and delicious lunch!
2. on your side
A stylish cafe-restaurant where you can enjoy daily pasta and curry sets. Popular with female customers, it features a calm and relaxed atmosphere.
Despite the compact interior, there are plenty of seats and it's easy to get in. There are also counter seats, making it perfect for solo lunch!
3. Ningyocho Funayoshi
A Japanese restaurant where you can enjoy set meals featuring simmered fish, sashimi, meat, and more. With such a wide variety of set meal menu options, I always have trouble deciding! Whichever you choose, it's delicious, so it's fun to decide based on your mood of the day.
At night, it operates as an izakaya, so you can enjoy a different atmosphere from lunch. Recommended for those who want to taste Japanese food at reasonable prices.
Tips for Enjoying Lunch

Many restaurants accept cash only, so it's safe to have cash on hand. Especially at individually-owned shops, cash payment is often the standard.
⏰ Lunch Time Timing
At 12:00 PM on weekdays, it can get quite crowded as it overlaps with the lunch hour of office workers from nearby companies. We recommend going at slightly different times to avoid the rush.
