From May 14 to 27, 2026, Kappou BUTAI — an Edo-inspired kappo cuisine restaurant on the 29th floor of NEWoMan TAKANAWA LUFTBAUM in Minato, Tokyo — is hosting a Kagamiishi Town × Koriyama City Fair. As the centerpiece, the restaurant is offering a special limited lunch set meal, "Hatsu Natsu no Fukushima Abukuma Gozen" (Early Summer Fukushima Abukuma Set Meal), available at just 15 servings per day.
The initiative is part of the "Fukushima Destination Campaign," a tourism promotion effort running from April to June 2026, organized jointly by the JR Group, Fukushima Prefecture, and local municipalities and tourism businesses across the region. The campaign aims to share Fukushima's natural landscapes, food, and culture with a wider audience and inspire travel to the prefecture.

Happo-en's Ongoing Ties with Kagamiishi Town and Koriyama City
Happo-en and Kagamiishi Town signed a comprehensive partnership agreement in March 2021 aimed at revitalizing the town through brand promotion. Since then, the two have collaborated on pop-up events and limited-edition cafes featuring local farmers and businesses. In November 2019, Happo-en also signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement with Fukushima Prefectural Iwase Agricultural High School in Kagamiishi Town, supporting the promotion of the school's GlobalGAP-certified produce and fostering mutual human resource development. (GlobalGAP is an internationally recognized certification awarded to producers who practice sustainable agriculture with attention to food safety, labor standards, and environmental protection.)
In October 2024, Happo-en's subsidiary Happo-en Exchange Contents Produce established the "Fukushima Koriyama Office" to deepen engagement with the Koriyama City area and continue region-rooted projects throughout Fukushima and the broader Tohoku region.
In April 2025, during the opening events of "TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY," the food truck "Omotenashi Delivery by HAPPO-EN" featured a collaboration between Kagamiishi Town and Koriyama City, presenting local gourmet food and traditional cultural experiences to visitors.
